Game Track: Card Change - 1:12 | Comments (0)

Xbox 360New World Series of Poker 2008: The title goes on but I really don't want to type it all out. Sabin and I were playing Pokerstars one day and he suggests we play "with voice." I told him we're already on Skype but he means everyone on voice. We discussed this briefly and decided to get poker on a console. We decided on this game and picked it up for $10 (hurray for memorial day sales).

Overall, the game is worth about what we paid. It's a game with all kinds of poker available. The career mode interests me because instead of just getting a random pile of fake chips, I am making progress in the World Series. We'll see if it improves my actual poker playing.

Nintendo DSNew Super Dodgeball Brawlers: I love the original Dodgeball game and have played each new revision. I haven't find anything as well done as the original, but Aksys added some of the elements back into the series (brawling). The problem is now? It's too easy. I beat it on normal the first time I played it and Hard right after. I remember it taking a while to beat the original with really strong finalists and eventually shadows of yourself. This... just beat the normals and be done with it. Boring :/

Nintendo DSNew Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness: Another long title. After finishing Blue Rescue Team, I wanted to see the next in the series. Basically, it's the same engine and same game as the first, but a slightly better story. Yes, that's not saying much.

I'm trying to find the person stealing the time gears. I wonder if that means I'm near the end of the story part of the game. Probably not...

I suck at keeping track in my blog. I haven't done this in so long that I could go on and on over the weeks... but I'll stop here in hopes of actually keeping up with this...

Probably not, but podcast in less than eight hours. Must stop typing now. Now's good.

Man Cave - 10:50 | Comments (0)

Thursday came and went in a whirlwind of moving men, furniture, boxes, and a giant truck. In the time it takes to have a day of school, the majority of our possessions had moved from one house to the other. There was so much to do over the past few days that the time has flew by.

My favorite part of the new house, without compare, is the basement area, which I've labeled the Man Cave. There's a large room that we allocated as the TV/game room. It's probably as large as the previous one, but it's square, giving more space between the TV and the couch. This matters more and more these days with the consoles using various control schemes that require more than sitting back and pushing buttons. I've always felt the old place was a bit too cramped for any real Wii-style of play or even Rock Band. This space is much better laid out for that.

There's also my own room adjacent to the Man Cave. I haven't done much in that room yet, but I hope to set up my computer this week. I'd also like to start displaying some posters, but I have so many that I seriously am considering trying to find one of those poster display racks you see in retail stores. I wonder how much they are.

Best of all, the basement is cool, as in colder than normal. Erin's not the most fond of this, but I love it. You can always dress warmer, but there's a limit to how cool you can get. Yesterday was fairly warm outside but the Man Cave was pleasant, even with all the hardware installed and running.

I need a bigger TV now... >.>
